Business Analyst - Front Office

Location: Kitchener/Markham, ON

Constellation1, a Constellation Software Inc. company, is looking for a strong Business Analyst to join our team.  We are an industry leader in the integrated online real estate technology business and are partnered with some of the largest names in real estate.

This is a highly visible professional growth role that will keep you challenged and learning while utilizing the full range of your skills.  In this role you will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Clients to execute on software development projects for our front-office real estate product suite.  Our Front-Office portfolio consists of industry leading: Property Search, Marketing, and Lead Generation solutions (Website, CRM, Marketing, Social, Testimonial, Relocation, SEO/SEM, Mobile iOS/Android). The ideal candidate would be a driven, self-sufficient individual with a sound analytical mind and strong documentation skillset.

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Product Management and Account Management to ensure necessary documentation is prepared for product releases and user guides
  • Document business objectives as defined by the product roadmap and client needs and translate them into Jira tickets with clear requirements
  • Define, develop, and deliver both internal and external KPI reports
  • Work with Project Management to ensure requirements are documented and other deliverables are completed within set milestones and timelines
  • Oversee implementation of projects from inception to completion
  • Use data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights related to product usage 
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
  • Report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 2 years or more in a software applications business analyst or product management role with experience creating and detailing requirements for user stories
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adeptly demonstrate products
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills a must
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence an asset
  • Working knowledge of MS desktop tools

Director of Strategic Account Management

Location: Kitchener/Markham, ON

Constellation1 is looking for a Director of Strategic Account Management to jump in as a player / coach while establishing an enterprise account management process. As the Director of Strategic Account Management, you will have direct impact on the customer experience. In this role you will have responsibility to lead a team of Account Managers in enhancing the speed and quality of customer contact resolution, ensuring that customer services are scheduled and identifying and resolving the root causes of common or high impact customer problems. The Director is also responsible for leading the Account Management team to uncover sales opportunities within the existing customer base. The successful Director works seamlessly with internal teams such as sales and supply chain to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • You’re a player/coach – you’ll be directly managing existing accounts.
  • You’ll be developing processes, best practices & strategies to support enterprise channel growth.

Finance Manager

Location: Kitchener/Markham, ON

Perseus Group is one of the six operating groups of Constellation Software (TSX:CSU), a large, rapidly growing, publicly traded software company that offers competitive benefits and pay, including employee profit sharing bonuses.  

The Finance Manager is responsible for finance matters across several Perseus business units with an emphasis on financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements.  The Finance Manager supervises a predominantly offshore team to accomplish this and works within the larger Perseus and Constellation finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team responsible for maintaining accurate financials for business units, including:
    • AR aging and reporting
    • Billings and collections data
    • Accrue, defer, and classify revenues and expenses following CSI policies 
    • Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Payables management; ensure compliance with invoice approval process
    • Treasury management (cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, collections)
    • Fixed Assets Management (fixed asset additions, fixed retirement, reconciliation)
  • Lead team responsible for maintaining generating invoices (including calculating usage and credits) and transmit those to customers
  • Train and organize the on-shore and off-shore finance team that supports the financial reporting processes.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, goal setting and performance reviews of the finance team.
    • Develop strong team cohesion through continuous contact with team members in the form of regularly scheduled one on ones, and team meetings.
  • Engage in a process of continuous improvement to use tools to automate as much of the financial reporting processes as possible.  For example, drive the adoption of subscription billing across all BUs, including upon the acquisition of a new BU, within defined timelines.
  • Track contract renewal dates: notify the account management team 3 months in advance of each renewal date to support price increases and renewal efforts.
  • Review and assess client contracts to ensure accurate implementation of pricing adjustments.  
  • Provide financial reporting, including financial reporting required for quarterly reviews.
  • Drive greater integration of the BUs financial and informational systems.
  • Occasional travel to the US and local offices.

Professional Acumen

  • Be proactive and eager to contribute and learn, ask lots of questions, and provide solutions. Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvements.
  • When not receiving information or support required, proactively and aggressively identify and escalate this.  Don’t accept roadblocks.

Technical and Educational Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Financial knowledge in the software / IT field, specifically with financial operations and accounting guidelines.
  • A strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS-15 revenue recognition guidelines is strongly preferred, and acquisition accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced used of Excel workbooks and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with Great Plains is required.
  • University Degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred, but not required.

Implementation Specialist

Location: Kitchener/Markham, ON

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for the onboarding and training of Constellation1 Software solutions to our customer base. The position will focus on understanding the customer’s needs, completing applicable onboarding/training, supporting the customer throughout the implementation process and providing feedback internally to key stakeholders on areas for improvement based on customer feedback and implementation roadblocks. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer’s needs and determine optimal implementation path
  • Act as the primary point of contact for designated customer’s
  • Modify project plans for each customer, detailing the tasks that need to be completed for the timely installation of software.
  • Assist customer in optimal utilization of software tools
  • Provide training to all customer’s using web service tools
  • Develop new processes and recommend improvements to all procedures and ensure optimal level of customer satisfaction at all times
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure implementation is completed within required timeframes according to contract
  • Schedule and run meetings. Communicate post-training action items and accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with customer’s, web developers, programmers, product managers, account managers and sales personnel.

UI/UX Designer

Our Product portfolio consists of industry leading front-office, back-office, and data solutions including: Website, CRM, Marketing, Relocation, Transaction Management, Commissions, and Accounting.

Responsibilities: 

  • UI/UX Designer will gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. 
  • Design graphic user interface elements and prototype user experiences using InvisionApp. 
  • Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis.
  • Create user stories, personas, and storyboards.
  • Determine information architecture, create sitemaps, and conduct usability testing.
  • Define UI standards/patterns and help enforce them across a diverse development team
  • Define user interfaces for a web-based & mobile applications based on product requirements, and input from customers

Requirements:

Marketing Coordinator

The role will work under the guidance for the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager sets the product positioning, lead generation needs, communications plans and brand asset requirements. The Marketing Coordinator will execute numerous tasks and tactics as part of those plans.
